Fact-Checking Policy
At Samachar Insight, we are deeply committed to delivering accurate, reliable, and well-sourced information across all our content. Our dedication to truth and transparency is at the core of our journalistic practice. To uphold this standard, we take the following steps:
a) We approach every claim with skepticism and rigor. Our team challenges assumptions, questions conventional wisdom, and investigates claims thoroughly to ensure the accuracy of our reporting.
b) Our commitment to accuracy is foundational to our reputation and the trust of our audience. We strive for due accuracy in all our output, meaning that the information must be sufficiently precise, appropriate, and relevant to the subject and nature of the content. We explicitly mention and underline any constraints that may influence expectations regarding the accuracy of the content.
c) This commitment means that all our content must be well-sourced, evidence-based, and corroborated. We are transparent about what we don’t know and strive to avoid speculation without evidence. Our readers deserve honesty, and we are committed to providing it.
d) Our journalists strictly avoid plagiarism and do not distort facts or context, including visual information. We are dedicated to maintaining the integrity of the information we provide.
e) We seek independent verification from reliable sources, especially when dealing with claims, information, or allegations made by public officials or those with vested interests. When claims or material facts cannot be corroborated, we ensure they are properly attributed to their sources.
f) At Samachar Insight, we stand by the information we publish and believe it to be accurate. However, if proven otherwise, we are committed to promptly correcting any errors. We do not knowingly mislead our audience, and we strive to maintain their trust by acknowledging and correcting serious factual errors swiftly, clearly, and appropriately.
g) We provide our readers with a fair opportunity to report any inaccuracies or errors in our reporting through our ‘Suggest A Correction’ section, which is available at the end of every web story published. This feature allows us to engage with our audience and continuously improve the accuracy of our content.
h) The primary responsibility of our journalists is to report, write, and fact-check stories. All stories undergo a review process by one or more editors before publication. Our fact-checking process is multi-tiered, ensuring that stories requiring due diligence are meticulously checked. The seniority of the editors who review a story is determined by various factors, including the complexity of the content, its sensitivity, and the urgency of publication.
Our Correction Policies
While Samachar Insight strives for excellence and accuracy in all our content, we acknowledge that errors may occur. When mistakes happen, we take full responsibility for correcting them and maintaining transparency to ensure our audience remains informed and confident in the information we provide.
To achieve the goals of accuracy, transparency, and excellence, we adhere to the following procedures:
For Our Readers:
If you spot an error in our content, we encourage you to contact our editorial team directly. You can reach out to our Editor-in-Chief, [Editor-in-Chief’s Name], via email, phone, or mail. Prompt communication is essential to ensure that errors are addressed quickly and effectively.

Subject: Correction Needed
When submitting a correction, please include the following details:
- A description of the error
- The issue date or number
- Where the error was seen (e.g., in print, online, etc.)
- Your name and a contact method (phone or email)
- The correct information and the source where it was found, if applicable
For instance, if a fact in an article about a government policy was incorrect, please provide the official document or reliable source that contains the accurate information.
We will investigate the error thoroughly using the information you provide, alongside our own resources, such as reporter notes, recordings, and other sources. A correction submission guarantees that the error will be investigated, but it does not necessarily mean that a correction will be issued.
For Samachar Insight:
Once an error is identified, the Editor-in-Chief will conduct a thorough investigation using the information provided by the reader, as well as additional sources like official documents, meeting minutes, and reporter notes.
If an error is confirmed, the correction will be issued across all platforms where the incorrect information was disseminated:
Print:
Corrections will be published prominently in the next print issue, clearly denoting the original article, the incorrect information, and the corrected details.
Online (samacharinsight.com):
The article will be promptly corrected, and an editor’s note will be added at the bottom of the article, specifying what was incorrect and when the correction was made.
Social Media:
If the incorrect information was shared on social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, or other channels managed by Samachar Insight, a follow-up post will be made linking to the corrected article and noting the correction.
After the correction is made, the Editor-in-Chief will contact the reader who submitted the correction to inform them of the steps taken to resolve the error. This ensures transparency and maintains our commitment to accuracy.
